Olomouc, 16th June 2016 – The project of multi-purpose sports hall in Frýdek-Místek gained the certificate of merit for 2nd place in category Civic Amenities in the competition “ CONSTRUCTION OF MORAVIAN – SILESIAN REGION” The award ceremony of the 10th year of the competition took place in industrial Landek Park - Compress Hall in Ostrava on 15th June 2016.
The advertisers of the competition, which is held annually under the auspices of the President of Moravian – Silesian Region, are Association of Building Entrepreneurs of the Czech Republic, Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers and Techniques in the Construction, The Society of Czech Architects and Moravian – Silesian Region.
In total fifty contestants in five categories made a record number of registered constructions that competed in this jubilee year. BOLT TOWER, Blast Furnace Extension no. 1 was truly the no. 1 construction which not only gained the main prize of GRAND PRIX but also won in the category “New Civil Buildings“.
Winning projects in other categories were: Reconstruction of City Stadium in Ostrava – Vítkovice (category “Building of Civic Amenities - Restoration”), Reconstruction of Piaristic Monastery garden in Příbor (category “Building of Civic Amenities – Public Areas”), Family house By the Fort in Opava – Jaktař (category “Family Houses), Hall together with administration part of the company ROPER Engineering (category “Industrial Constructions”), Road III/01148 reconstruction across a village including bridges (category “Transport, Engineering and Water Management Constructions).
Access to and new use of KP Hlubina – 1st Phase was awarded by the expert jury, Archeopark Chotěbuz - 2nd part gained the prize of the president of Moravian – Silesian Region and the prize from public audience went to the project from the category “Industrial Constructions” – Extension of Opava Opavia plant.
The monolithic multi-purpose sports centre Polárka Sports Hall became part of a new polyfunctional Frýdek-Místek city centre. Beside our company as the general contractor the project was accomplished by architectural agency OSA Projekt s.r.o. and the company SPORTPLEX Frýdek – Místek, s.r.o. as the investor.
