Sales of new residential units in Ostrava’s Nová Karolina are increasing. Despite long-term low demand in the new development segment, New Karolina Residential Development, s.r.o. (NKRD) has managed to sell the majority of the residential units over the past two years and is now offering the last free apartments in the final phase of sales.
"We are very proud that in spite of the initial sceptical forecast, the Nová Karolina Residence project has found more than 130 satisfied clients and that we are now being "forced" to start selling the last available units," says Ing. David Pfleger, NKRD Sales Manager. Pfleger attributes the increased interest to the strategic location of the Residence in the centre of Ostrava, to the secure covered parking, the high-quality standard of all equipment, the low operating costs and especially the broad availability of services in the immediate vicinity of the Residence.
An open house showcasing the model interiors of the last new apartments took place on Thursday, 26 June 2014. The interiors are the work of leading Czech architects and designers. The ceremonial ribbon was cut by Jaromír Uhýrek, CEO of GEMO OLOMOUC, spol. s r.o., and the representative of the investor.
The Nová Karolina Residence, with a C-shaped ground plan and an inner high-rise building, is composed of eleven sections with various layouts connected to one another. Shops are located on the ground floor of the complex. Apartments on the other floors vary in size from studio flats up to four-room maisonettes. In the area enclosed by the complex there is a two-floor parking garage for residents with 244 parking spaces. A residential tower (section 12), architecturally complementing the main Residence building, rises from the middle of the parking garage. The roof of the parking area is designed as a park-like courtyard comprising a children's playground, green recreational areas, the terraces of the adjacent apartments and a pond. Altogether, the development features 242 residential units, 244 covered parking spaces and 13 commercial spaces for services and shops, such as a restaurant, a café, a beauty salon, a convenience store, a pharmacy, etc.
