NOVÁ KAROLINA PARK

Project Description

The high-level Nová Karolina Park administration project offers 25,000 m2 of top-quality office space on 6 above-ground floors, with the flexible option to split the storeys. It offers almost 3,800 m2 of shops and services, as well as an underground parking garage for 280 cars.

The Nová Karolina Park was designed by Vít Máslo and David R. Chisholm of CMC Architects.

The administration building is situated in the north-eastern part of the newly urbanised Nová Karolina location and it acts as a virtual entrance gate to the city's historic centre. The Nová Karolina Park project forms a unique whole together with the inner courtyard with two gates. It complements the existing appearance of the adjacent buildings. Well-chosen building parameters (height, shape, façade appearance) allow the individual sides of the building to be decorated creatively, while, naturally, taking account of external factors.

The Nová Karolina Park is certified as a green building according to BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology). The British BREEAM certificate is one of the most prestigious methods to certify green buildings in Europe.

The project won first place in the "Building of the Moravian-Silesian Region" competition.
